Courtney Bowman started teaching at Tierra Pacifica Charter School in 2005. She has an educational background in geology, math, and biology. She started my professional career at the UC Berkeley Herbarium working on the first online database of botanical collections. While working there she started volunteering at a local middle school and fell in love with teaching, so she completed a credential program and became a teacher! Courtney has had experience teaching both science and math in local Santa Cruz schools.
When Courtney is not teaching at Tierra Pacifica or UCSC, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, going to the beach, playing games, and traveling.
