About Cal Teach
Cal Teach embodies UC Santa Cruz’s commitment to supporting K-12 science and math education. In California, only 35% of high school graduates are prepared for college-level science classes. Cal Teach addresses this problem by placing university science, math, and engineering majors in K-12 classrooms and helps many of these Cal Teach interns go on to become teachers. As a result, school children benefit from innovative and engaged teachers who are committed to meeting their educational needs.
