Emily Maddox

Emily studied Earth and Planetary Sciences, with an emphasis in marine science at UC Berkeley. She continued on to get her MA in Education and geosciences credential at Cal. Her love of teaching has brought her to positions as both an informal educator and as a formal classroom teacher, most recently at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and at New Brighton Middle School in Capitola — and now so excited to be part of Cal Teach! In her free time, Emily enjoys all things science fiction, birding, watching sports (Go Bears! Go Giants! Go Broncos!) and spending time with her husband and dog.
